Privacy Policy
Effective June 8, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how PassLab collects, uses, and protects information when users access PassLab's AI writing risk repair product.
Information we collect
We may collect account email, payment status, customer identifiers, usage data, submitted text, generated outputs, product logs, analytics events, and support messages.
We do not store full card details. Payments are handled by Creem or another payment provider if we later add one.
We may collect technical data such as IP-derived region, browser/device information, timestamps, error logs, request identifiers, abuse-prevention signals, and approximate word counts.
How we use information
We use information to provide humanization, detector-risk forecasts, meaning-preservation checks, account access, billing, abuse prevention, product quality improvement, and customer support.
Submitted text is processed to generate outputs and quality reports. If saved history is enabled, submitted text and outputs may be stored so users can return to previous work.
We may use aggregated or de-identified usage information to debug failures, understand product performance, improve quality checks, and plan capacity.
Third-party services
We may use hosting providers, AI model providers, payment providers, analytics providers, and email/support tools to operate the product.
Risk forecasts are independent estimates and are not official results from GPTZero, Turnitin, Originality.ai, Copyleaks, or other detector providers.
When a feature requires an external AI or infrastructure provider, submitted text may be transmitted to that provider only as needed to provide the requested service.
Payment providers may process billing details, tax information, fraud-prevention signals, and transaction records under their own policies.
Payment and account data
We store payment status, product identifiers, credit balances, subscription status, webhook event identifiers, and customer identifiers needed to grant access and resolve billing issues.
Full card numbers and sensitive payment credentials are processed by the payment provider and are not stored by PassLab.
Retention and deletion
We retain account, billing, and usage records for as long as needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, comply with obligations, and resolve support issues.
Users may contact support@passlab.app to request account or data deletion. Some billing and fraud-prevention records may need to be retained where legally or operationally required.
Saved text history may be deleted or disabled as the product evolves. Users should not treat PassLab as the only storage location for important documents.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account, payment-status, and submitted-text data, but no online service can be guaranteed completely secure.
Because PassLab uses global cloud, payment, and AI infrastructure, data may be processed in countries other than the user's country of residence.
Children and education use
PassLab is not directed to children under 13. Users who are minors must use the service only with appropriate permission and in compliance with school, guardian, and local rules.
Education-related use remains the user's responsibility. PassLab does not override academic integrity, school, instructor, platform, or assessment rules.
